Extend the battery life of your Apple iPhone

There is nothing more annoying for cell phone users than losing battery power while on the phone. This has happened to almost everyone at some point, and perhaps it caught you off guard. When running a cell phone as powerful as the iPhone, it’s easy to understand why battery power may start to drain. When you listen to your favorite music, check your email, and text your friends, you’re using a lot of power from your phone. Thus, it will start to drain your cell phone battery faster than you thought.

You can check Apple’s website and there they explain iPhone battery life expectations, but they only assume you’re running one app at a time. I think iPhone users (correct me if I’m wrong) are multitaskers. Multitasking means shorter battery life for the iPhone.

Don’t despair, there are several things you can do to further extend the battery life of your Apple iPhone. The iPhone is not known for draining its battery extremely quickly, there is always room for improvement in battery performance. If you follow these simple tips, your iPhone can last longer than you think.

The best advice, by far, is to simply turn off Bluetooth if you’re not using it. Very few people understand that when you keep your Bluetooth on, when you’re not using it, you’re draining your battery. This is because there is a certain amount of power that is controlled by the Bluetooth section of your iPhone, and the power is running low because the phone is constantly searching for other Bluetooth devices. If you don’t want to pair with a Bluetooth device, make sure your Bluetooth is turned off.

Always lock your iPhone when you’re done using it. When you’re done talking on the phone with your wife, checking your email, or sending a text, be sure to turn on the lock button. Many people wait for the screen to turn off by itself after using it, although this may seem like a great idea, it is wasting battery life. Be sure to set your auto lock because this is a great way to make sure your phone locks itself in case you forget it. There are iPhone owners who set their automatic lock for five minutes after use. If you multiply these five minutes of power use by ten times a day, your battery won’t last as long as you think. That is why it is always suggested that you set your automatic lock for one minute (1) after you are done using your phone. This will ensure that your iPhone screen does not stay on when it is not being used.

If you want to have a hassle-free way to save your iPhone battery life, then this is the way to do it.
