WoW Talent Builds and Quick Leveling

When it comes to quickly leveling up your World of Warcraft characters, you may want to think about the path they are going to take first. I mean, where should your character go next, if they’re looking for experience points, or doing quests, or combining the two, that sort of thing. But there’s something else to consider here: is your character capable of doing what needs to be done? Being at the right level is important, as is having the right equipment. And so is having the “right” talents.

In order to successfully follow the path laid out for you by a power leveling guide, your character will likely need to develop their talent tree in a similar way to the characters who created the guide in the first place. Let’s say you’re trying to level up a Hunter, and the Hunter used to create the leveling guide focused on Beast Mastery. He will get the best results from the guide if his hunter also focuses on beast mastery.

Can you deviate from the Talent Build that the developers of the guide used? Of course he can. They may recommend that you use a particular build, but that’s about it. You may find that completing certain missions is more difficult when using a different build, or that things are slightly different than described in the guide. Some things may be easier or work better with a different build than the one the developers in the guide used.

The point is that doubling the Talent Build someone else used to quickly level up a character of your class can be helpful, but it’s not a requirement. Deviating from your guide’s recommended settings might slow you down (or, in rare cases, speed you up), but it won’t stop you from following the guide and leveling up much faster than you would on your own. You don’t have to clone the guide author’s Talent Build to level up quickly.
