Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and Identified
The idea of UFOs flying and saving humanity from injustice and pain is an image popularized in recent decades. Let’s identify the UFO trend, popular Christian images, the Mayan calendar with its 2012 predictions and a reality of PHOTONS flying from clearly identified astrophysical objects.
About fifty years ago, UFOs captured the attention of people looking up into the sky. Once the reports started and the government investigated, more and more UFOs turned up. It’s like watching the newly popularized crop circles. Simple circular shapes began around Stonehedge. The lights accumulate over a field of wheat and rapidly trace circular patterns. The more people learn and connect their consciousness with these phenomena, the greater their number and complexity. Humans focus attention to generate energies for the complexities of life to manifest.
Many people today take advantage of the hopes and dreams of UFOs. Because people share memories of spaceships (gathered from numerous popularized movies from ET to Star Wars), I think people have real experiences. Alien motifs with a small body, a big head and huge eyes accumulate in the imagination. People are even transported to spaceships, reporting sensational experiences. Even without any physical evidence, books, movies, and light sightings perpetuate beliefs in UFOs.
Modern UFO phenomena seem very similar to Christian hopes for the imminent return of Jesus. For nearly 2,000 years, groups of Christians have been hoping to identify Jesus returning to Earth to rule over a 1,000-year millennium of peace. “See, he is coming on the clouds” (Revelation 1:7). Jesus would probably return in a similar way to his ascension to heaven (Luke 24:51). Note that the “Seventh Day Adventist” movement was started after Jesus did not return in 1843.
The classical Maya Indian Empire relates to an intricate calendar to predict Earth’s climax and possible “re-creation”. The major Classic Maya cities stretch from Palenque in Mexico to Tikal in Guatemala and Copán in Honduras. They mysteriously “fell” around AD 800, possibly when their calendrical cycles reached 10.0.0.0.0. His primary transforming climax is set at 13 baktuns, 13.0.0.0.0. Some predicted it for 2002. Nothing happened. Now 2012 is the year, that is, if 3114 BC is taken to be its cyclic start date of 0.0.0.0.0.
Human consciousness shares hopes for global peace and harmony. The religions of the world express this climax of history. The Jews await the Messiah, the Christians the return of Jesus, his Messiah. Hindus believe that Kalki (the final incarnation of Vishnu) will restore divine order. Buddhists pray, meditate and set up prayer flags invoking Maitreya, the last incarnation of the Buddha. Many Muslims, especially Shia Muslims, believe that a perfect teacher (represented by Muhammad) will come to establish justice.
With rampant suffering and injustice, humanity awaits a great climactic event. This is real. Now, what can we learn from the scientific data on “identified flying objects”?
The data of science actually provides us with powerful “identifiable” energies. Perhaps we can realize the reality of identifiable extraterrestrial sources, harness the power of these flying photons (light) and help generate the reality of a great and glorious future for humanity. The Earth is a powerful magnet that attracts light from many sources. Gamma rays and the most powerful high-energy X-rays come from the Vela Pulsar. Scientists estimate that its supernova explosion occurred about 10,000 years ago. La Vela is about 1000 light-years away. About 1,000 years ago (1054 AD), the crab supernova was temporarily a star nearly the size of the moon. Powerful radio waves from the Sail and Crab pulsars are reaching us right now.
There is evidence that the stars help align the great pyramids of Egypt. Our connection to the stars and the divine celestial sphere is as old as civilizations. Carved into the walls of the pyramid of Unas (2375-2345 BC) it is probably the oldest known religious liturgy. Sirius, our brightest star, was called “Sothis.” Most recognize the constellation Ursa Major as the “Big Dipper”. Here is part of Statement 302 (Piankoff, 1968 with parentheses by the translator).
“Sothis lives (that is, shines) because it is Unas who is in fact the living (star), the son of Sothis… Sothis has let Unas fly into the sky between his brothers, the gods. The two Enneads have purified for him as the constellation of the Big Dipper that cannot perish… There is no word against Unas on earth among men. There is no crime of Unas in heaven among the gods. Unas has eliminated the word against him, has canceled him, to rise to heaven. The Opener of the Ways has let Unas fly to heaven among his brothers, the gods.”
Astrophysicists identify the powerful light of space. Let’s connect to the real energies that connect with us right now. If we focus on these real energies and bring them into our awareness, no matter what our religious or philosophical standpoint, then we can ground these energies.
To complete this article I ask why aliens need spaceships. Is materialism our great goal? Our physical bodies live for a finite amount of time. Primarily, we are here to experience core family relationships and connect with life: real energies of water, plants, animals, minerals, humans, and light (suns, star forms, and reflected light from the moon and planets). The 10% of our minds that we use right now is enough to connect and experience the flow of energies. In the ‘afterlife’, we can potentially access the rest of the mind, put the ‘dream’ of life into an ideal aesthetic flow, and refine the energies within the fabrics of time and space. (Yes, this sentence is a mouthful.) For now, let’s ground the ‘alien’ energies of the heavens, our heavenly connections. The earth can flourish. We can share the joy of peace.
We all live on one Earth. The synergy of individual and human group power can create culminating peace and prosperity.
