The 3 Levels of Network Marketing Most Online Business Coaches Never Tell You About

Most network marketers who learn about MLM on the Internet never learn the three levels of building a successful MLM organization.

One of the main reasons Network Marketers have a hard time building their business is that they don’t achieve any level of success when they first start out, so they drop out. Even some of the people who have some success still struggle to build their business because they can’t duplicate that same success with their downline.

This article will open your eyes to exactly why this happens over and over again. Most people are not aware of the fact that there are three levels of network marketing and most people on the internet are trying to master the third level without building the foundation that the first 2 levels achieve.

So what are the 3 levels?

Level 1

Because most people online have this weird notion that old school marketing doesn’t work, they try to skip this level and wonder what they’re fighting for. Let me start by saying that this idea did not occur to me. A good friend of mine, Tom Challen, taught me this and it literally changed the way I ran my own business overnight. If you don’t know Tom, he is one of the top producers in his network marketing company and is responsible for recruiting over 500 people into his organization in less than a year. If you ask me, that’s someone who might know something worth understanding.

Go back to the first level. The first level in Network Marketing is New Distributor. When recruiting a new distributor, it’s important that they create their own success story or find out as quickly as possible that this business is not for them. The best way for a new distributor to create quick success is still old school warm market and cold market leads. I know a lot of people will disagree, but ask them where their first signups came from and how many they signed up in their first week in the industry. If they signed someone up, they likely came from your warm market.

Many people want to hide behind the computer and while generating all leads online is ideal, it’s not the fastest way to create a success story for a new distributor. The best way is to spend several hours a week calling potential clients. Those leads will either be from your warm market or purchased (cold) leads.

The reason this is so important is because everyone can dial a phone and everyone can read a script. Many people will argue against a script, but I soon discovered that it’s really the only way to guarantee duplication. Duplication is key in this industry. Another thing about new distributors calling potential customers is that they will be able to start recruiting almost immediately without much technical knowledge. Let’s face it, you may be an internet marketer, but not all of your new distributors are and many have no desire to use the internet.

They will also learn to develop key communication skills that are very important no matter what marketing method they choose to use. The only way to build that muscle is to use it. The best way to use it is to talk to as many people as possible. Those who are entrepreneurial and right for their business will do whatever it takes to be successful and if they do just this, they will have a success story in no time. Also, they will remain business partners because they are making money. HELLO!

Level 2

Level 2 is when distributors spend 50 percent of their time recruiting their warm market and cold market leads and 50 percent of their time training their team and responding to generated leads. by themselves. This is a very good place to be as the business is building, teams are developing and profits are coming in. The description is pretty self explanatory. It usually takes several years in the industry to really advance beyond this level. Many people don’t want to deal with developing the skills necessary to get to this level, so they skip both Level 1 and 2 and go straight to Level 3. This is a huge mistake for many marketers and they don’t even they realize until it is too late. They never learned the people skills or management skills to deal with a large organization and are trying to accomplish something that is very difficult for the average person to duplicate. What happens is difficulty in retention and they have to continually recruit and never have a strong and solid team. Even the most dedicated marketers will feel frustrated and burnt out not reaching levels 1 and 2 and relying solely on level 3 marketing.

Level 3

The reason most network marketers struggle online is, as I mentioned, that they never made it to level 1 and level 2. Unfortunately, many online marketers promote the myth that internet lead generation is the only way to go. It is important and yes you will have a head start in generating your own leads using internet attraction marketing, it just takes a long time to master the necessary skills. My recommendation is that people use level 1 techniques and start learning internet marketing at the same time to generate their own leads. Level 3 network marketing is when 100 percent of your leads are inbound. Your phone is ringing or you are responding to leads you generated online. Internet gurus will tell you that the old school is dead. That simply is not true. The best idea is to use both old school and new school.

If you choose to take your business to the next level and generate your leads on the internet, you need a system to do it. Many people can create lead capture pages and email autoresponder sequences and use social media in a variety of ways to generate leads online. Once again, the problem here is duplication. The only way to duplicate this part of the process is for everyone on your team to use the exact same system.

Let’s face it, your job as a Network Marketer is to constantly grow your business. Without growth it will not survive. That means most of the time you should be recruiting, not training the ins and outs of internet marketing. There are many experts who already do it and do it well.
