Old school music for today
Without a doubt, the music industry is changing rapidly, streaming live music, videos, mp3 download capabilities, radio play, blog posts, podcasts, and even vinyl are back. Who knows; Will cassette tapes and eight-track tapes make a comeback? The key to all of this is having a sound that moves you. Like many recording artists today, samples of other artists of yesteryear, there are still some old school originators who still have the funk; Groove and music that really touches the soul. “Let Me Play It” is a demo from an old funk master who inspired Varges Thomas and many other musicians who continue to carry the torch. This is the sound that the late Roger Troutman left on the world. Varges spent numerous hours with one of the world’s top musicians who shared some of his tips and tricks for producing records. Certainly remarkable, “let me play it” has all the evidence of a student well instructed by his mentor.
