Oh sitting here contemplating the world as it can be

Oh sitting here contemplating, the world as it can be,

I am reminded of the One who cares, who allowed this world for me.

Because I read your poems, your rhymes, your prose, they didn’t speak to me,

Of love, laughter, joy and good times, as great as it can be.

My heart grew heavy, inside her, because I suddenly realized,

The words you use to see this life have certainly disguised,

All the good things God has made, the unconditional love he shares,

To anyone who seeks him, he lets them know, he cares.

The greatest offer of a lifetime, to seek and you shall find,

It’s right in front of us every day, just spinning around in our mind.

It’s a mighty game that tricked us into thinking like the lost

We travel believing, in this world, at such high cost.

Because as our spirits are eternal, and will never, ever die,

One has to stop and ask why we believe such a lie.

That we can do what we want, because we are the human race,

And never pay a consequence, never have to ask for grace.

The benefit is not for us, as we have been so effectively told,

It is simply not true, even though it has been preached since ancient times.

It is much better to ask the One whose life was given for the benefit of humanity,

May we inherit the guarantee of forgiveness through His pain.

Why do you keep offering life, to a world full of rejection,

It amazes me, it saddens me, it sends my spirit into introspection.

Maybe while I read your poetry, your prose, your songs,

In fact, I have gained some wisdom, through the Revelation about the end times.

That there will be such living, who will reject the call of the Spirit,

Although each of them was offered the truth, from the greatest to the smallest of all.

So if indeed my gifts are used to share this “News” with you,

So maybe You are the reason for this poem, and I have done what I must!
