It is unfortunate that even many children today cannot understand the correct concept of mathematics. There are kids who are very good at other subjects, but are somehow scared of math. This subject has always been said to be the most difficult subject to learn in schools and there is a psychological panic in children for mathematics.

There is no doubt that mathematics is difficult to learn, but with the right approach and proper guidance, it can be learned easily. Many children who are good at learning other subjects cannot learn mathematics. This is very important for parents and teachers to help children learn mathematics beyond the school textbooks.

Mathematics is the subject that children can easily learn by practicing it more. Firstly, they need a good teacher to help them learn the basics of this subject, and secondly, they need better motivation. Math games are something that can help many children to develop their math skills through fun and play. These games are designed with a logical approach to problem solving which creates the interest of the children in learning this subject and helps them remove the fear of this subject.

These are some of the math games for kids:

From older to younger

Some pieces of paper are to be distributed to a group of children.

Now one person asks each child to write the number of their choice on their respective card.

Now, the person collects all the tiles from all the children.

The person then calls each child, one by one at the front, and asks them to say what number they have written on their card.

After each child has called their numbers, the person asks any child to order all the numbers from largest to smallest. The child who is able to do it correctly in the minimum time will be declared the winner.

Learning (This game helps children to learn the biggest numbers to the smallest ones)

Math Card Game:

This is another good math game for kids:

Here, one has to write the simple math problems on some cards like addition, subtraction and multiplication.

Now, in the second set of cards, one has to write the actual answers to these problems.

Now, one must distribute the cards to all the children and make sure that each child receives all the cards with the problems.

Now, place the other set of cards containing the answers on the table in a random order.

Now say the problem out loud and randomly choose one child and call them up front and ask them to take a card that they think would be the likely answer to the problem.

For example, the teacher calls the problem n. #1 (2 + 6) and call a child to answer this problem. If a child chooses 8, which is the correct answer, then she will be given a gift, or if she chooses the wrong answer. then the teacher would open the correct answer.

Choose the largest number:

A set of 4 dice should be distributed to each child.

Have each child roll the dice once and write down the number on each individual die after the roll.

Then ask the child to make the highest number from the set of numbers he got after rolling all the dice.

For example: a child got the number

1st dice: 4
2nd dice: 7
3rd dice: 1
4th dice: 5

Now, ask the child to make the highest possible number with these numbers. If the child could form the number 7415, which in this case is the highest numerical value possible, then the next child will be declared the winner.

All these math games would definitely help kids to learn math in an easy way. There would be many more games that parents and teachers could create and help children learn math with fun and joy.
