If you want something done to you, ask a woman

Men and women are equal when tasks are performed one by one. But when tasks are mixed, there is always a significant difference. For example, while doing housework, a wife is cooking while she is taking care of her little children and suddenly the phone rings and you need to answer the phone. She can pick up the phone while she carries her child and also see the progress of the food she cooks.

It is proven that women are better than men, especially at multitasking. Men are less organized compared to women. Most women know how to use a system to get things done right away. Before starting a task, a woman often thinks which of the tasks should be the first. Women find it easier to switch attention than men.

By nature, women are methodological. But this is not to generalize men are slower, of course, there are also men who are good at multitasking. However, the average woman is better able to organize her time and switch between tasks than the average man. Still, it is possible that for certain tasks, men are better at multitasking depending on their nature. It can be sequential or simultaneous. It just so happened that men are slower when it comes to quickly switching tasks.

Multitasking is more difficult for men because they need to use more energy than women when switching attention between tasks. With women, task switching seems to require less brain power compared to men. In the past, women could balance numerous household chores with childcare, while men worked in the fields. Women did all the housework while men did only one job to support their family’s needs.

If a woman is experienced in certain tasks, they seem to go away automatically because she thinks less while performing these tasks. This is the reason why an experienced chef can prepare several dishes at the same time, while a beginner cook has to concentrate while she bakes an egg. However, the ability to multitask while she cooks depends on how often she cooks, not just because she’s a man or a woman.

It has been confirmed that young women are able to switch their attention between tasks better than young men. In particular, although the reaction time is very different, in everyday life it is hardly noticeable, except in really stressful situations that require frequent task changes.

So if you want something done, give it to a woman who is more adept at multi-tasking.
