How can the Nokia 3500 stand up to competition from newer models like the LG KM710?

Nokia has mastered the art of making mobile phones that can last longer and be tougher. The testing time of Nokia 3500 a classic model can be witnessed when it is compared with newer models like LG K710. The new phone model has new ergonomics and new input functions, but the 3500 device has the motto “never say die”.

The Classic model is a tri-band phone. Nokia 3500 tri band GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 networks where KM710 is a quad band phone. They have the same class of GPRS and EDGE that provide the same speed of access to the web. But 3500 is provided with HSCSD which is not present in new LG device.

The internal memory of the Nokia 3500 is 8.5 MB but that of the KM710 is 160 MB. This does not matter, as the Nokia external card slot can allow you to increase the memory to 2 GB. The Classic 3500 is quite light compared to the KM710. Screen real estate is about the same with LG outperforming it by 0.2 inches.

Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP and USB port are common to both models. There is also a WAP browser to access the web.

The only area where Nokia 3500 has fewer points is the camera with 2 MP. The Lg model has a 3.15 MP camera. But the features of the camera are the same.

Both phones have SMS, MMS and email. Nokia takes credit for instant messaging. Media player of Classic 3500 is also better than LG KM710 media player with more options to play files like MP3/MP4/AAC/AAC+. Nokia 3500 also takes credit for live entertainment with a stereo FM radio.

The battery function of the Nokia Classic 3500 is Li-Ion 820 mAh (BL-4C) and that of the standard battery KM710, Li-Ion 950 mAh. Thus, we see that compared to a new model, Nokia 3500 offers stiff competition and the phone has some features that are better than the latest models from rival brands. This demonstrates Nokia’s dominance in mobile devices where functionalities with futuristic visions enter.
