Gazebo Versus Cabana – Which Should You Buy?

The warmth of the sun is both something desirable and something we cannot take in for long periods of time. It is desirable in times when you have had enough of the freezing cold of winter; It would be great to get some heat for a change. Imagine lying on the beach or by the pool to work on your tan, nothing would be much more pleasant. However, as enviable as it is, we couldn’t help but find a shady spot after hours of soaking in the sunlight. Scientifically, we are not allowed to be exposed to sunlight for long hours because it is like sleeping in the oven for 8 hours, and I guess you know what I mean by that. In addition, it will not be able to receive the heat of the sun after that period. That is the reason for the creation of the Gazebo and the Cabana. You can’t always run inside your house for some reason. Think of it as something that would protect you from the heat of the sun but still maintain the feeling of being outdoors.

Now, what is the difference between the two structures? Which is better? First, let’s define each structure so that you have a vivid idea of what is what and which one is much better.

A gazebo is a kind of pavilion structure. Usually their shape is octagonal or round. It is usually found in spacious areas like gardens, front lawns of people who can afford a huge front lawn, parks, and public areas. These structures can be freestanding, meaning they could be built on their own without becoming part of any other structure, or they could also be connected to the walls of a garden. It can also be with or without a roof and with or without walls. The materials that are used also vary. Some are made of bricks, others of wood. There are also gazebos that are built specifically for homes. You could even build one yourself, if you’re that good.

A cabin is somewhat similar to a gazebo. It is an independent, temporary structure. It means you can delete it at any time or replace it somewhere else. It has transversal curtains, draperies that decorated it, and sometimes also features solid walls made of different materials. Typically you would see a cabana located at beaches and pools. It is more efficient in providing privacy for people compared to common umbrellas, and they certainly provide more protection from the sun’s UV rays than traditional umbrellas. This is the reason why more people prefer it to umbrellas.

Now which is better? For me, the two structures are two different things. They provide efficient functions on specific needs. As for example, the gazebo is a permanent structure, a part of an area that you would never remove often, unless you are trying to renovate. The cabana is a temporary solution for sheltering from the sun, as well as providing some privacy on the beach or by the pool.
