Fasting and enema… for a clean body detox

One hundred years ago, life was very different here on earth. The air was cleaner and the soil rich in nutrients. Then, in our need to feed our ever-growing population, we gradually change the quality of the air we breathe and our once nutrient-rich soil is now very scarce. We now live in a world of chemicals and pollutants in our air, water, and food.

Our bodies, amazing as they are, were not designed to handle these kinds of constant attacks. Is there anything we can do about it? Bet! You may feel like you can’t change the world, but you can minimize the effects all of this has on your body.

Fasting is one of the fastest ways to detoxify your body, and it can be done safely. A three-day fast can do wonders for your body. If you are pregnant or have chronic health problems, only fast under the supervision of a health professional.

Our bodies store toxins but want to get rid of them. When you fast, you release toxins from your tissues and into your bloodstream. So we can experience things like headaches, fatigue and body aches, smelly stools, etc. Although this may seem unpleasant to experience, the results you get from fasting pay off in a cleaner alertness.

Have you noticed that when you are sick you don’t feel like eating anything? That is the body’s way of handling whatever is going on. Naturally fast. Because? Because when you give the digestive system a break, the body can rid itself of toxins and focus on immune function, cell growth, and colon cleansing.

There is a right way and a wrong way to fast. Don’t just do a water fast. There seems to be a misconception that you only drink water to fast. Not so. In addition to 8 to 10 glasses of water, you should drink diluted pure juices, except for orange or tomato juice. Freshly squeezed lemon in water is excellent to help detoxify the liver. Herbal teas a couple of times a day can be very relaxing and satisfying.

In addition to fasting, it would be very helpful to speed up the healing and cleansing process by doing enemas. Getting rid of old or impacted stool will greatly help your health and well-being. A coffee enema works very well. Before putting the coffee grounds in the coffee maker, open a capsule of slippery elm bark and aloe vera and add it to the grounds. Be sure to use purified water, not tap water. Then follow with a lemon cleanse.

Between fasting and colon cleansing, you can detox and cleanse your body and feel great.
