It’s also home to the Nanrenshan Stone Slab Houses, which were built more than 700 years ago and still have some of the original constructions. It is also home to Taiwan’s third largest nuclear power plant, the Maanshan Nuclear Power Plant.

The national park’s scenic areas are surrounded by tropical rainforest. Some of the most beautiful places to see are the Fairy Cave and Stalagmite Cave. In addition to these two attractions, Kenting National Park has seventeen other scenic areas that are connected by designated walkways. The enchanting scenery includes a forest that is home to a 400-year-old Looking-glass Tree. Other features of the park include the Number One Gorge and Uplifted Coral Reef Forest.
Getting to Kenting National Park is easy. It’s accessible by bus from Kaohsiung. You can catch a daily Kenting Express bus that departs from Kaohsiung Station every half-hour or so. You can purchase tickets online and have them picked up at a Kenting Express Line counter. Alternatively, you can opt for a private transfer from Kaohsiung.
