Candida – Yeast Infection Remedy – The Mind Body Connection
Finding what works internally and the thoughts surrounding the process is the first real breakthrough I had in dealing with Candida – Yeast Infection.
In addition to Dr. Bill Crook’s wonderful books, The Yeast Connection and Chronic Fatigue, which are packed with candida remedies, I found another source of guidance in my efforts to find a cure for candida symptoms, including fibromyalgia, in a book by Dr. John Sarno called Mind Over Back Pain.
I had been suffering from particularly intense pain between my right shoulder blade and spine for 13 years, with only temporary relief from medical and natural treatments, physical therapy, tens unit therapies, massage, and acupuncture.
One intriguing tidbit I picked up from your book is that you have to be aware of what you’re thinking at the onset of pain. As a long-time meditator, I slowed down my thoughts and paid attention to what I was feeling as a result of my thoughts and made a wonderful discovery. Lo and behold, I had internalized my ex-partner’s criticism and judgment of, get this, 13 years and that was causing the pain!
I just had to flip the script and reprogram my mind to think about myself differently. Which I did, and ended that painful era of my life. Later, a yoga teacher told me that she had discovered that people who were bothered by a problem with a man had pain in that place on the right side, and if the problem was due to a woman in her life, would manifest. as pain on the left side (the male/female sides of the body).
I felt empowered to do and be anything after this. My energy skyrocketed and I felt like I was having an almost constant peak experience for over a year. I was able to eat sweet foods without falling back into any of the yeast symptoms for the first time. I applied this wonderful discovery to my regiment of natural remedies for Candida and noticed an almost instant recovery.
