5 ways to make your small bathroom look bigger
Some people are not lucky enough to have houses with spacious bathrooms. If you are one of them, you can be sure that there are at least five ways to make your small bathroom look bigger.
The first way you can make your bathroom look bigger is by painting the walls a light color, like white or cream, and adding light-colored tiles on the floor. Dark colors tend to give rooms a cozy feel.
The second way is through glitter. If you can add a skylight to your bathroom it would be a great help. If you can’t, buy brighter bulbs for overhead lights or medicine cabinet lights. Adding light fixtures above or around the medicine cabinet, if you don’t already have them, will also give your bathroom a more open look.
Replace short, stubby cabinets with tall, narrow ones as the third way to make your small bathroom look bigger. Space savers like toilet shelves and wall-mounted shelves free up floor space, which also helps make the room look larger.
The fourth way to make your small bathroom look bigger is to get rid of clutter. Knick-knacks and stuffed animals look cute, but they take up a lot of space and end up making your bathroom look a lot smaller. The more open space you have, the more spacious your bathroom will look. Even go so far as to remove the bath mat from the floor and hang it over the side of the tub when not in use.
Finally, if you have wall space to hang extra mirrors, hang one or two strategically to catch the available light in the rooms. This will make the room brighter and therefore appear larger.
Maneuvering in a small bathroom can be a challenge; however, just because your bathroom is small doesn’t mean it has to look small.
